About
After betrayal, it can feel like everything has changed at once—your sense of safety, your ability to trust, your emotions, your relationship, and even the way you see yourself. After the Trigger is a five-session guided program designed for women navigating the emotional aftermath of betrayal and infidelity. This course moves beyond simply identifying triggers and emotions and helps participants understand what is happening beneath those reactions, recognize what they need in difficult moments, and begin responding in ways that support healing rather than fear or hypervigilance. Throughout the program, participants will explore triggers, emotional and relational safety, boundaries, self-trust, shame, negative self-beliefs, and identity after betrayal. The goal is not to tell participants whether they should stay in or leave their relationship. Instead, the course focuses on helping each woman become more grounded, understand herself more clearly, and make decisions from a place of increasing safety and self-trust. Research-informed teaching, practical exercises, reflection questions, and faith-based encouragement are used throughout the course to help participants move from “What is happening to me?” toward “I understand what I am experiencing, what I need, and how I want to move forward.”
